Reviewers call the 2026 Zephyrus G14 one of the best compact gaming and creator laptops. The move to Intel Panther Lake brings much better battery life and cooler running, and the brighter 120Hz OLED and zero-throttling RTX 5070 Ti performance draw wide praise. The price is the main complaint, at about $3,600 list in the US, along with loud fans under load and soldered RAM.
“this generation switches to Intel Panther Lake hardware – this offers roughly the same performance as the AMD Strix Point hardware in the previous G14, but runs cooler in this updated chassis and more efficiently on battery power;”
“if you are looking for a high-performance notebook with portability, the ROG Zephyrus G14 (2026) GU405 is one of the strongest choices currently available.”
“The ROG Zephyrus G14 was already the fastest 14-inch gaming/multimedia allrounder and Asus improved some aspects for the new 2026 model.”
“ASUS has used the Panther Lake switch to fix the one real complaint about every past Zephyrus G14: battery life.”
