Critics' Take
Critics call the Galaxy A57 a polished, slim mid-ranger with a good screen, clean software and six years of updates. Most reviewers fault the $50 price increase over the Galaxy A56, middling Exynos 1680 performance and unremarkable cameras. Verdicts run from a solid buy to good but pricey, with several pointing to the Pixel 10a as better value.
What critics loved
- Slim, light, IP68-rated build that feels premium
- Bright 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display
- Clean One UI with six years of OS and security updates
- Reliable 50MP main camera
Common gripes
- $50 price hike over the Galaxy A56
- Modest performance that struggles with demanding games
- Weak 5MP macro camera and no telephoto
- No wireless charging and a slow fingerprint sensor
- Few meaningful upgrades over last year
