Critics call the 2026 Razr Ultra one of the best flip phones available, with a premium design, a useful cover screen, strong performance and a 5,000mAh battery. Nearly every reviewer objects to the $200 price increase to $1,499 for an unchanged chip, an almost identical body and modest camera gains. Several suggest the 2025 model or waiting for a discount.
“While the new $1,499.99 price tag is a major blow, the phone's feature set, display, and design are all elite for the category.”
Joint review of the Razr Ultra and Razr+ (2026); the page says it will be updated, and the verdict and score cover the Ultra.

“As good as the Razr 70 Ultra is, and it is good, after spending a couple of weeks with it, I’m still not sure why anyone would buy it over the previous Razr 60 Ultra.”

“It's a good phone and one of the top contenders for anyone considering a compact flip-style device. It looks great, has responsive performance and excellent battery life, plus a very cute and compact design.”
“The Motorola Razr 2026 is a solidly constructed flip phone with a lot of style, but minimum hardware upgrades paired with a steeper $200 year-over-year price hike makes it less appealing”
“I like the Razr Ultra so much, but between its price and shortcomings, it’s tough to recommend.”
“The Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 is a good phone and might be one of the best flip phones on the market.”
“The Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 is a fine phone, but minimal upgrades paired with a $200 price hike make for a poor value proposition.”
“Despite its good looks, the Razr Ultra isn’t the best option for someone seeking the thrills of a modern flip phone. I’d feel much more comfortable recommending it for like, $1,200.”
