Critics praise the aluminum design, bright 144Hz display and the Glyph Matrix, and several single out the periscope zoom as rare at this price. Cameras are called inconsistent, video is weak, and battery life fell short of Nothing's claims in some tests. GSMArena questions whether it justifies the premium over the standard Phone (4a), and reviewers flag only three Android updates.
“Not only does the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro look gorgeous, but it has a blazingly bright 6.8-inch screen and offers impressive performance given its mid-range chipset.”
“The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is an excellent phone for the price and an easy one to recommend to just about anyone.”
“I've gotta be honest: it's really good.”
“The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro stands out as a distinctive mid-range smartphone with a strong focus on design, solid everyday performance, and some surprising premium features.”
“The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro gets a lot right. I love the design, I love the Glyph Matrix, and I think Nothing has made one of the best-looking phones right now.”
“The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro delivers an aesthetic step up over its predecessor, while maintaining its rival-beating zoom lens as part of its feature set.”
“The support, however, leaves something to be desired.”
“What it does bring to the table is a more refined overall package - better build materials, a larger and smoother display, a more capable chipset (particularly on the GPU side) and the more advanced Glyph Matrix implementation.”
