“Google’s Pixel 11 continues to set the standard for what you should expect from the base model of a flagship phone with class-leading cameras, long software support and almost all the bells and whistles of its most expensive phones.”

Critics' Take
Critics call the Pixel 11 a polished but small update to the Pixel 10. Reviewers praise the compact build, the brighter display, the improved main camera, faster Qi2.2 wireless charging and useful Gemini features such as Magic Capture, and several rate it a better buy than the Pro models. Most also fault the $100 higher starting price, the near-identical hardware, average gaming performance and the missing HiLight light, so Tom's Guide and ZDNET suggest a discounted Pixel 10 or a deal may be the smarter purchase.
What critics loved
- Compact, well-built design with a slimmer camera bar
- Brighter display that is easy to read outdoors
- Strong main camera and handy tools like Magic Capture
- Faster 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging and double the base storage
Common gripes
- Starting price up $100 to $899
- Very few hardware changes from the Pixel 10
- Tensor G6 trails rivals in raw performance and gaming
- Battery life only average in some tests
- Not much reason to upgrade from a Pixel 10
Critic Scorecard
19 reviews“Google’s Pixel 11 is the most iPhone-friendly Android phone I’ve tested, and it’s priced competitively, especially if the camera is important to you.”
“The Pixel 10 was a fun AI phone, and the Pixel 11 builds on that by adding not only more useful AI capabilities but also integrating new social media features that feel genuinely helpful.”
“The Pixel 11 is $100 more than last year and didn't change a ton, but is still one of the best smartphones on the market.”
“I’ve always called the non-Pro Pixel phone the lesser phone, but after using it for the last couple of weeks, I don’t anymore.”
“There's little to dislike about the Google Pixel 11. It matches its pricier Pro siblings on speed, outlasts them on battery, and undercuts them on price.”

“After a month in my pocket, the Pixel 11 has convinced me that a great phone doesn't have to be a big one, or uber expensive.”
No overall score shown; score is the mean of the page's six category scores (8.5, 9, 8, 9.5, 8.5, 8 out of 10).
“For anyone on an older Pixel or without a Pixel, this is probably the sweet spot in Google's 2026 phone lineup.”
“The new Pixel 11 starts at $899 and has mostly the same specs. It adds a few exclusive software features that mostly make up for it and doubles the base storage.”
“This is a slick smartphone, perhaps the best Android phone for folks who are comfortable with Google and Gemini AI, but it’s only a very slight improvement over last year’s Pixel 10.”
“It won’t tick all the boxes for nerdy power users, but if you just want a flagship that’s a very good jack of all trades, then this is a great choice.”
“There’s a lot to like about the Google Pixel 11. Its display is simply phenomenal: bright, colour-accurate and beautifully responsive.”
“In 2026, I’m finding it harder to back the now $899 handset, especially when its biggest new upgrade might just be a larger camera sensor that takes slightly better photos.”
“The loss of the 128GB model makes it feel expensive, but this is still a great daily phone for most people, with a very capable camera.”
“The Pixel 11 is a tricky sell. It’s the priciest standard Pixel yet, and while the switch to 256GB storage softens the blow, the higher price still feels hard to justify.”
“Ultimately, the Pixel 11 is a polished and enjoyable phone caught in an awkward position.”

“The Pixel 11 can be an incredible phone and it can also cost too much.”
